Scheherazade: Goodness, I'm not good at talking about myself.

I'm a mom. I have 5 children, who keep me very busy. No, I don't have a favorite. I love to read--in the past 2 years, I have read over 4,000 childrens' books. Really. I keep a list. Almost 1,000 of those were about cats, because my kids love cats.

I love to write. One of my earliest memories is of making up stories in my head during naptime at preschool. I write for my kids and my friends and myself and, hopefully, for anyone else who's interested.

I am passionate about science and technology, child development and neurodiversity, history and culture. I'm always interested in learning about how other people think and what makes them tick, or just thinking about atomic bombs and eusocial insects.

My blog is mostly research notes for my Big Novel and flash fiction inspired by AI art of, you guessed it, cats.

I don't actually own a bunch of cats--just one, a shy little tuxedo cat. We do have 4 chickens and 3 snakes.
